Welcome and Thanks for Signing Up for My
Newsletter!
First of all, I'd like to thank you for
taking the time to sign up for my
mailing list. This is my second
Newsletter and the first one of 2008! By
the way, has anyone seen 2007? Where did
it go? Hopefully, I will keep my New
Year's Resolution to send at least one
Newsletter a month and I won't bore you
to death in the process!
What I've Been Up to...
I'm basically still recovering from the
holidays here in King George, Virginia
and trying to actually keep my
New Year's Resolutions as I mentioned
above.
My first show of the year will be on
April 5, 2008 in Timonium, Maryland at
the Days Inn Hotel and Conference Center
from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. I will be working
on re-stocking my inventory so I'll have
all new creations for the show. In the
meantime, I'll also be trying to
re-stock my Etsy.com shop and do my
TAXES (cringe). My three pre-schoolers
do take up a lot of my time during the
day so most of my work is done while
waiting for them at their appointments,
at night or on the weekends. For all of
you who purchased from me during 2007, I
really do appreciate your business.
Hopefully, I will be able to bring you
fresh, fun, imaginative bears, bunnies
and critters during the year 2008 as
well. And with that in mind, along with
two of my New Year's Resolutions which
include restocking my Etsy.com shop and
a personal one to lose some weight, I
will be listing
Pudge, the Proper Pastry Pincher in
my Etsy shop today. I was doodling
yesterday morning and out popped Pudge
from my doodles so I quickly sewed him
up to see what he would look like. I'm
pleased with the results and may make
some other quirky puppy characters to
join the litter!
Just for You!
Again, thank you so much for signing up
for my Newsletter. As a little token of
my appreciation, I'll share a special
pattern with you. Please remember though
that the patterns I share with you are
for your own personal enjoyment and not
to be sold for profit. This pattern is a
new one that I just completed the other
day for a cute kid bundled up in a bunny
snow suit. You may remember seeing
Tippy, the True Blue Snow Bunny on
my Blog and briefly in my Etsy shop. You
can follow the link to make your own
Tippy. You can either insert the face
from the back as I did or you can omit
cutting out the face in the main body
piece of the pattern and just top stitch
the face pattern onto the body pattern.
There is no seam allowance included in
the pattern. I usually just trace it
onto the felt fabric and then sew on the
line. Also, I used floral wire in my
feet so they could be bent and posed. If
you have some pipe cleaners they work
just as well and then you don't have to
stuff the feet as much! Enjoy!!!
Here's the link for the project:
Snow Bunny Pattern
You should be able to right click, save
the image and then print it out. I
usually print mine out on card stock so
it's easier to trace onto fabric.
Enjoy and Happy New Year!
Hugs,
